Making Christ-like disciples by the Word of God for the glory of God
Getting Here
We are located close to the intersection of Route 26 and 27 about three miles north of Taylorsville. Access to our church right off of Route 27 and we have plenty of parking.
Once you reach the church, enter the building through the covered porch on the south side of the building.
Our Services

8:30 & 11am Services
Our Sunday morning services begin with congregational singing from traditional hymns. Between hymns, two pastoral prayers are given, before the expositional sermon which lasts about 40 minutes. Our pastor preaches through books of the Bible and our current series can been seen in our video accounts.

9:50am Sunday School
We offer both youth and adult Sunday school during our Sunday school hour between our morning services. We have classes for all ages, including a college & career group and young married couples, as well as topical book studies for adults.

6pm Evening Service
Our Sunday evening services follow a similar format to our Sunday morning services. Each service begins with congregational singing followed by a sermon or a missionary guest sharing about the Gospel work being done all over the world. Our services conclude by 7 PM with fellowship to follow.

Childcare & Safety
The safety of our children is important to the members of Calvary Baptist Church. All of our nursey and youth workers are members of our church and go through an extensive screening process and training to ensure the highest level of safety during our services.
We have a child registration process that identifies any food allergies or specific medical needs and we have volunteers on hand with extensive professional experience.
Our spaces are clean and follow clear guidelines on germs and sanitation.
Our goal is to make sure you feel comfortable entrusting your children with us so that you can worship the Lord with your full heart and mind.

What to Expect

Preaching the Word
The Word of God is central to our preaching. All the preaching at Calvary Baptist Church is expositional, line by line, book by book. Our ministry philosophy puts the Word of God at the center of our church life. Expository preaching is the center piece of our services and we believe is most needed for the people of God.
Singing the Word
Our worship services emphasize Christ-exalting songs that speak to the glory of our creator. This is done through congregational singing that allows the voices of God’s people to sing praises to him through traditional as well as modern hymns with orchestral accompaniment.

Praying the Word
Second to preaching, prayer is a vital part of our weekly services at Calvary. Pastoral prayers begin every service with petition and praise to our Lord being given. You will hear allusions to Scripture throughout our prayers, as the Word of God guides our moments of prayer.
