Children’s Ministry
Jesus said, “Let the little children come to Me” (Matt 19:14). At Calvary, we want to do exactly that by giving kids as many opportunities as possible to learn about and trust in Jesus. From weekly Children’s Church and Frontline Clubs to our yearly Vacation Bible School each summer, we want to provide kids with multiple chances to hear the truth of the gospel. Since most Christians come to faith in Christ before their teen years, robust and effective children’s ministries are crucial to the advancement of the gospel.
Vacation Bible School
Every summer in July!
We would love for your kids (ages 3yrs to 5th grade) to join us in July for our action-packed Vacation Bible School! This year (2024), it will be July 15-19, from 9:00 AM to 12:15 PM. We’ll also have a special class for moms during VBS. It’s always a great time of fellowship. We can’t wait to see you!
Nursery
Birth to 3 yrs.
Our nursery ministry enables parents to participate and engage more fully in our worship services. We are thankful for a nursery staff that is both caring and competent! Your children’s safety is our number one priority, so each of our adult nursery workers undergoes a background check before being cleared to serve. Our nursery also includes quiet and comfortable rooms designated for nursing mothers. Each room has a rocking chair and one or more baby beds. Children’s Church
4 yrs.–4th grade
FrontLine Clubs
School year
Frontline Clubs is a discipleship program designed to train children to love and live the Bible. Our clubs meet during the school year on Wednesday nights at 7:00 PM (the same time as our prayer meeting and youth group). Frontline allows kids 3 years to 5th grade to enjoy games, Bible study, missionary stories, and singing, all with the aim of developing genuine devotion for the Lord. The clubs focus on Bible memory as well as faithfulness in service at home and in the community.
Calvary Kids Club
Summer
Calvary Kids Club serves the same age-range as Frontline Clubs, but meets only during the summer on Wednesday nights at 7:00 PM. Kids Club includes Bible lessons, missionary stories, snacks, games, songs, and lots of fun!
Vacation Bible School
Summer
Through Vacation Bible School, we bring the gospel to children in our communities. When kids come to VBS at Calvary Baptist, we give them solid Bible teaching, a loving and safe environment, and a great time! For more info about our Vacation Bible School, email us.
